Well, here I am! A week later, as promised to myself and I have honestly no idea where to even start this post. I had such an unproductive week that trying to collect enough things I did to make a half decent post is genuinely difficult. I guess this is good for me in the long run, though. If I keep on this update-once-a-week pace, it will force me to be a little more productive! Hopefully then, I can simply keep the ball rolling. ╭( ･ㅂ･)و
In the world of web design, I have had a quiet week. I barely got on the computer because of some technical difficulties (and sheer laziness) but I did manage to accomplish a few things I set out to do!
- DD Challenge: wrote the Haikyuu!! page; trashed the Team idea
- Exported/Backed up all MySQL files
- Exported/Backed up all FTP files
I guess it’s not really much in the grand scheme of everything that needs to get done but at least I’ve managed a big chunk of the moving process. Now I just need to upload everything to the new host, do some spring cleaning in my new FTP and I will be ready to go!
I have recently been playing a ton of Tales of Zestiria with my roommate and let me just get this out of the way by saying I have the biggest, dorkiest crush on Sorey. Bright and smiley? Intelligent? History dork? Terrible cook? Sorey is my soulmate.
Anyway, geek out aside, I am really enjoying Zestiria so far! I love the more historical/political based storyline rather than having a sense of morality and personal responsibility be the main drive behind the story. There are a ton of functions the game has that I love (like everything they carried over from Xillia) and some that I cannot stand (F U IN-BATTLE CAMERA) but overall, it’s a great experience. I always play Tales games multiplayer with my roommate so unfortunately I can only play it whenever we are both home but having that set up really pushes me to complete games! I’m definitely looking forward to playing more and watching the history of this world unfold! (´∀｀)♡
I have a long term challenge that I have been contemplating doing for a couple years now. I have a rather large manga collection. I do read from it often but I have a habit of re-reading some of the same series over and over again while other ones go untouched. I realized late last year that some series I own, I haven’t read in over three years! To a bibliophile such as myself, this is simply unacceptable. I can’t handle the idea of not showing equal appreciation to all of my books. So I have set myself out a goal for 2016: By the end of this year, I am going to read through my entire manga collection, from A-Z. It may seem like a bit of a daunting task as I write this but I crank through manga so quickly and it’s so easy for me to get lost in the pages until I’ve burned through a whole series without even noticing!
So that is the challenge that I plan to start soon and hopefully by the time I am done, I will feel more accomplished and once again attached to the books that I adore so much (｡’▽’｡)♡
Well, I think that’s about it for this week. Kind of a boring post, I suppose, but hopefully next week will yield less excuses and more progress!
Wish me luck!
